Event Planning

Fall Festival -
Event Planning & Execution

Planned and executed Umble Coffee Co.’s inaugural Fall Festival, creating a community event that drove record-breaking sales and engagement. Promotion was executed through a two-week, organic public relations push across social media, in-store promotion in two locations, local partners, and word of mouth. Due to its success, the Fall Festival led to plans for future community events.

Event results displayed on a dark background. The results include over 300 attendees, more than 20 local vendors, no paid advertising, a Bulldog Prism Award recipient, and $2,600 in revenue from the highest single sales day.

Evaluation

Reviewed attendance, sales performance and opportunities for future events.

Planned and executed a concert series focused on bringing live music to the local Starkville, Mississippi, community. I booked all talent, coordinated artist payment and led promotion across digital platforms and in-house channels. Prior to the concert series, I encouraged the development of a permanent stage to support ongoing live programming.

Morning
Concert Series

Planned and executed a Christmas Bazaar centered on gift shopping and community engagement. I coordinated local vendors, promoted in-house and online and executed all event logistics.

How does this relate to public relations?

Event planning creates direct, in-person opportunities for brands to engage target audience.

Working across promotion, media outreach and on-site execution strengthened my ability to build relationships, generate brand awareness and create experiences that support long-term public relations goals. Planning and promoting events reinforced the importance of audience understanding to drive engagement and generate revenue.
