Public Relations Campaigns

Manna House Ministries - Full Public Relations Campaign

Overview

As part of the 2025 Southern Public Relations Federation Conference, a group of other Mississippi State students and I participated in the conference’s premier student case study competition. We had 48 hours to prepare a full campaign for a judge of accredited public relations professionals for Manna House Ministries, a non-profit based in Alexandria, Louisiana. Our campaign focused on communicating the organization’s mission and urgent financial needs through local media, community partnerships, and donor outreach. Our team placed first in the competition.

Shared Mile - Full Strategic Branding Plan

Overview

Shared Mile, a startup workplace wellness company based in Starkville, Mississippi, partnered with my Strategic Brand Management class to establish a clear branding guide to support their business goals. This guide outlines a comprehensive brand foundation and communication strategy for Shared Mile to target small to mid-sized businesses. Presented with a group, our team pitched Shared Mile’s positioning as a privacy-first, community-driven platform focused on shared progress, motivation and sustainable wellness habits.

How do these projects relate to public relations?

These projects demonstrate how public relations functions through the four-step process of research, planning, implementation, and evaluation. By thoroughly developing goals, SMART objectives focused on awareness, acceptance, and action, and strategies and tactics that support those objectives, each project delivers an effective and intentional public relations plan. Whether advocating for donor support or establishing an entirely new brand, public relations is at the core of each strategy.

This is what we do every day.
