Documentary Production

Capturing the craft, culture, and people that define Mississippi’s spirit - shot and edited in Spring 2025 as part of my Creative Services Video Production course.

Delta Roots, Doe’s Legacy

Sturgis Stories is a personal documentary that explores the rhythms, resilience, and relationships within my hometown of Sturgis, Mississippi, a place where tradition and small-town pride shape everyday life. Through intimate interviews and quiet, observational moments, the film captures what it means to grow up, leave, and still feel tied to the heart of a rural community.

Dedicated to my late grandfather, this project is an homage to the people and places that shaped my childhood and made me into the person I am today.

Located in Greenville, Mississippi, since 1941, Doe’s Eat Place stands as a living icon of Delta restaurants, family heritage, and community spirit. This film delves into the Signa family’s storied legacy, the culture, and the people who carry on the tradition.

Recognized at the MSU Story State Film Festival as Best in Film and Best Overall, it affirms my commitment to cinematic nonfiction that honors place-based stories and distinctive voices.

Sturgis Stories, Echoes of a Southern Town

From Instinct to Intel

This film explores how evolving technology is reshaping Mississippi agriculture. I interviewed precision ag professionals, crop consultants, and local farmers to tell a story about innovation and tradition in the field. From drone mapping to data-driven soil management, the film reveals how research and real-world experience intersect to improve farming efficiency and sustainability. This project blends journalism and visual storytelling to spotlight the people advancing agriculture’s next chapter.
